MA- Moving Average

Moving Average (MA)

What it is:

A moving average simply smooths out the day-to-day price “noise” to show you the true underlying trend. It takes the average closing price over a set period and continuously updates as new data rolls in.

Why it matters for Wanderers:

Markets don’t move in straight lines. Moving averages help you cut through the emotional chatter and instantly identify whether an asset is building momentum, consolidating, or breaking down. We use them primarily as dynamic support and resistance levels to guide our entries, manage risk, and know when the broader trend is working in our favor.

When we say MA, we are talking about a simple moving average. When we say EMA, we mean Exponential Moving Average.
